11th IACC Seoul, 25 - 28 May 2003

IACC Theme: Different Cultures, Common Values

IACC Rationale:
The 11th IACC brought together public, private and civil society actors in:
- Frank, open and constructive discussions
- Action-oriented - case studies - international perspectives
- Anti-corruption practitioners from all sectors
- Coalition-building and forging new international projects
- Delegates had the opportunity to send a powerful anti-corruption message to the intergovernmental Global Forum III, taking place 29-31 May 2003 in Seoul.
- The conference was hosted by the Government of the Republic of Korea and jointly organised by the Ministry of Justice, Korea, the IACC Council,
Transparency International and TI-Korea.

The findings from the 11th IACC stressed the importance of the Conference's theme; that corruption is not a matter of culture, rather it offends the beliefs and traditions of all of us. It concentrated on the importance of shared values in finding concrete solutions to the problems created by corruption.
